We have recently bought a home in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast which has oodles of external character in the front section which is the original cottage, but is lacking a flow of character onto the large extended back section. Due to the fact that the extension is west facing, we don't want to break through the upstairs wall with windows or doors, thus allowing the hot sun into the upstairs bedroom area. We're looking for ideas to 'dress' up the extension externally to enable it to blend in well with the front cottage. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Many thanks.
