The biggest homemaker centre in the Southern Hemisphere is due to open in Melbourne next month. The Springvale Homemaker Centre is a massive 71,000sqm development, and features a huge range of stores, from Harvey Norman and IKEA to boutique and niche homeware shops. The Springvale IKEA store is Australia's largest and opened for business on 8 September.

Located on the corner of the Princes Highway and Westall Road in Melbourne’s outer south-east, the development is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of shoppers. While most stores open on 24 October, the official launch event of the centre is on the 4th of November.
