Japanese Wind Flowers

These gorgeous plants are excellent as a massed planting. They spread readily, are tough  and pretty to look at as well. And it’s not just the flowers that create interest – the lobed foliage is attractive in it’s own right. Terrific growing in semi shaded areas they are ideal for underplanting around trees and shrubs such as flowering cherries and roses – though some varieties can grow as tall as a metre. Coming in a variety of colours from white through to pinks, singles and doubles they are the perfect addition to a cottage style garden. The plants can be cut back after flowering in winter and you can divide them to give yourself more plants around the garden.
