Editor Margaret Megard
– Growing up in a family with more creativity than money, Margaret’s parents embarrassed her by decorating their home with second-hand furniture and castoffs they lovingly painted, varnished and restored. Today, she thinks they were incredibly resourceful and talented and is happy to report that some of that resourcefulness spark has rubbed off on her. After a decade of editing home magazines such as Our House and Country Home Ideas, Margaret has seen tonnes of houses and when it comes to home decorating, she is keen to share what she thinks works and what doesn’t. |

Assistant editor Sunny de Bruyn
– grew up in an elegant country home surrounded by her mum’s Country Living magazines and Laura Ashley books. They left a distinct impression on her and gave her a passion for decorating and interiors. The kind of person who gets a kick out of a beautiful piece of fabric, a well crafted chair or a stylish cushion, Sunny adores spending her weekends trawling through antique and design stores looking for that perfect piece. A journalist and writer for seven years, Sunny has written for newspapers and magazines in Australia, South Africa and New Zealand and is in the process of finishing her first novel. |

Locations coordinator Melissa Grintell
- loves that she sees so many beautiful homes at work. In a previous incarnation she studied nutrition – and now realises it was her semi-serious decorating magazine habit that got her through it. She admires good writing – knowing how tricky it can be - and likes bentwood chairs, chaise longues and rooms with picture rails. She inherited her eye for colour from her mum, along with a black belt in shopping skills. Broadening her horizons – overseas if possible, finding great coffee and exploring art galleries are a few of her favourite things. |

While most of the time, we are scurrying around separately rounding up all the bits and pieces that go into each issue, it's a joy when we actually get to work together in the studio to bring you the best and brightest of new products we have found.
